Porto Design Factory started as an education support project with a platform for co-creation, co-development and acceleration of innovative ideas. It also fosters a culture of experiential education based on "problem-based learning" thus fostering entrepreneurial mindsets and better learning outcomes. It had an investment of 1.2 million Euros and support from the European Union of 1 million Euros.
Porto Design Factory project aims to establish a new paradigm of innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem, which provides all surroundings with a non-hierarchical environment in permanent development, transcending physical, professional and scientific boundaries which stimulates the emergence, development and acceleration of ideas, concepts and innovative teams.
